Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! Let's get ready to make some art.
I am Mrs. Delcarmen and I am so excited to be teaching art to all 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes this year. Students will be receiving one hour of art instruction per week. Focus is on exploring various media such as; drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, and fiber arts as well as exploring various techniques and improving technical skills. Each child is creative in his/her own way and the art lessons they receive will not only strengthen their art abilities, but also their academic ones. MDCPS has several Exhibitions that select artwork can be submitted for adjudication. If artwork gets accepted it will be displayed at one of the selected galleries: School Board Gallery, MIA, JCC Gallery, Pinecrest Gardens, Youth Fair, etc. |
